Author Guidelines
Manuscript Preparation
To ensure a smooth and efficient submission process, authors are required to adhere to the following guidelines:
1. Language: Manuscripts must be written in clear, concise, and formal academic English.
2. Length: The manuscript should be between 5,000 and 6,000 words, including references, figures, and tables.
3. Structure: Manuscripts should follow the IMRAD structure (Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion), where applicable.
- Title: Should be descriptive and concise, reflecting the core focus of the research.
- Abstract: A maximum of 250 - 300 words summarizing the purpose, methods, main findings, and implications of the study.
- Keywords: Provide 3 to 5 keywords that accurately represent the content of the manuscript.
- Introduction: State the problem, background, and objectives of the study.
- Methods: Clearly describe the research design, participants, instruments, and procedures used.
- Results: Present findings in a clear and concise manner, using tables and figures where appropriate.
- Discussion: Interpret the results, emphasizing their contribution to the field and potential practical implications.
- References: List references in APA (7th edition) format, ensuring all in-text citations are accurately referenced.
- Figures and Tables: Ensure all figures and tables are numbered, clearly titled, and properly referenced in the text. They should be high quality and provided in an editable format (e.g., .doc, .docx, .xls).
Formatting Requirement
Authors are required to download and use the journal’s manuscript template to ensure consistency in formatting. The template includes:
- Font: Book Antiqua, size 1, single-spaced.
- Margins:54 cm margins on all sides.
- Headings: Follow a clear hierarchy of headings (e.g., Heading 1 for main sections, subheading 1 for sub-main sections, subheading 2 for sub of the sub-main sections, and subheading 3 for sub of the sub of the sub-main sections).
- Page Numbers: Number all pages consecutively in the bottom centered.
Ensuring Manuscript Quality
Before submitting the manuscript, all authors should maintain the quality of the manuscript by considering:
Originality: Manuscripts submitted must be original and not under consideration by other journals. The journal uses plagiarism detection tools to ensure the originality of submissions.
Ethical Standards: Authors must ensure that their research complies with ethical standards in research and publication, including appropriate consent and data protection protocols for studies involving human participants.
Proofreading: Before submission, carefully proofread the manuscript for clarity, grammar, and spelling to ensure a polished final draft.
Submission Process
Manuscripts must be submitted through the journal’s online submission portal. To upload it, authors should follow:
1. Register or Log in: Go to the Journal of Applied Education Study website and log in or create an account if you are a new user.
2. Submit Manuscript: Click on the “dashboard” and the submission menu will appear. Then, click on "New Submission" button to start the submission process. The authors will be prompted to fill in the required fields, including the title, abstract, keywords, and author information.
3. Upload Files: Upload the following documents:
- Manuscript: The main manuscript (in Microsoft Word format) following the journal template.
- Cover Letter: A letter outlining the significance of the research, any previous submissions of the manuscript, and the authors' acknowledgment of the journal's guidelines.
- Figures and Tables: If separate from the main document, upload additional files for figures and tables.
4. Review and Confirm: Once all required documents have been uploaded and the metadata entered, the authors all required to carefully review the submission for accuracy and completeness before finalizing.
