Abstract

The research aimed to enhance the learning outcomes of Social Studies at SMP Negeri 1 Jatiroto by utilizing the cooperative learning models of STAD (Student Teams Achievement Division) and PBL (Problem Based Learning) on the topic of space and interactions among Asian countries. The research method employed was classroom action research consisting of two cycles. Each cycle comprised four stages: preparation, implementation, observation, and reflection, involving a total of 32 students from class IX-B. In the first cycle, students achieved a mastery level of 62.5% with an average score of 76.6. The second cycle attained a mastery level of 93.75% with an average score of 86.9. These findings indicate that the integration of the cooperative learning models of STAD and PBL effectively enhances students' learning outcomes.
