The Relationship Between Employability Skills and Work Readiness of 12th Grade Culinary Students at SMKN 2 Mojokerto

Abstract

This study aims to prove the hypothesis is a significantly positive relation between Employability Skills and student Work Readiness at Vocational High School of Mojokerto. This study used Quantitative method with correlational technique. The research approach that used in this study is ex post facto. The data collection in this study is using a picket or questionnaire are adapted from previous researchers and distributed to XII class online using google forms (gform). In this study, the sampling technique we used was purposive sampling because it was known the characteristics of the target population. And the target of population condition is senior student who had carried out the internship programs. The formula used in determining the number of samples is using the Slovin formula, so the number of samples was found in senior culinary student of vocational high school of Mojokerto was 50 students. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant relation between Employability Skills and student work readiness, obtained a regression test result was 0,469 with a significance value of 0,001 which can be inferred that alternative hypothesis are retrieved which means there was a significant relation between Employability Skills with the work readiness of vocational high school of Mojokerto student. The coefficient of determination score is weak, indicating the value is 0,220 or 22%, while the remaining 78% (100%-22%) is influenced by other variables outside of this study.
