Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan model Islamic Social Entrepreneurship menjadi sebuah sekolah rintisan bagi keturunan pemulung di Supit Urang. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan menggunakan tiga tahapan penelitian. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data yang didapatan diketahui bahwa terdapat empat faktor yang menyebabkan rendahnya minat sekolah dikalangan keturunan pemulung Supit Urang yang menyebabkan mereka berada dalam garis kemiskinanan berkepanjangan. Melalui model sekolah berbasis Islamic Social Entrepreneurship yang dikembangkan dapat mengubah perilaku ekonomi dan gaya hidup keturunan pemulung Supit Urang melalui aktifitas kewirausahaan yang menguntungkan dengan tetap mempertimbangkan prinsip Islamic didalamnya. Hasil penelitian ini dapat menjadi bahan bacaan untuk pengimplementasian model Islamic Social Community dan lebih jauh dapat menjadi pioner terciptanya UMKM baru. Hal inilah yang menjadi alternatif untuk pembagunan masyarakat yang berkelanjutan terutama di daerah terpinggir. Saran yang diberikan kepada penelitian selanjutnya adalah untuk melibatkan lebih dalam tentang kebijakan pemerintah yang belum terjangkau secara luas dalam penelitian ini.
