Strengthening Anti-Bullying Attitudes as an Effort to Prevent Violence at TPQ At-Taufiq Penanggungan Malang

Abstract

The younger generation, as the pillar of national development, needs protection and education in accordance with their rights guaranteed by the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia. One of the issues still faced is the occurrence of bullying in the school environment. This paper aims to promote anti-bullying attitudes at TPQ At-Taufiq. Bullying itself is a negative attitude that can have serious impacts on victims, both physically, mentally, and emotionally. In this paper, anti-bullying attitudes were promoted at TPQ At-Taufiq by involving administrators, educators, parents, and students. The promotion was carried out using presentation or lecture methods and providing audio and visual examples with material delivered in language suitable for kindergarten and elementary school children. The material included the definition of bullying, types of bullying, efforts to prevent bullying, and its relation to religious teachings. The results of the promotion showed enthusiasm and good understanding from the students regarding the issue of bullying. A question and answer session and prize distribution were also important parts of this program. This promotion is expected to form anti-bullying attitudes at TPQ At-Taufiq and prevent similar incidents in the future.
